The UltraTech 9876 is the sampling option configuration of the Ultra-HydroKleen catch basin filter, providing a built-in post-treatment effluent sampling capability for facilities required to monitor and test stormwater discharge quality as part of their NPDES permit or local regulatory compliance program. The unit includes factory modifications to the standard HydroKleen frame that allow the Ultra-Universal Sampler (Part #8247, sold separately) to extract post-treatment water samples from below the filter media without removing the unit from the catch basin — in many cases without even lifting the grate. This option must be specified and ordered with the HydroKleen unit; it cannot be installed as a retrofit to an existing standard HydroKleen.
- Post-Treatment Sampling Capability – Factory-modified HydroKleen frame allows real-time water samples to be taken during storm events from below the filter media, providing verified post-treatment effluent data for regulatory reporting and permit compliance
- Non-Intrusive Sampling Process – Access area remains closed until sampling is required; slide open the sampling port and insert the Universal Sampler (Part #8247) — in many cases without removing the unit or lifting the grate
- Must Be Ordered with HydroKleen Unit – The sampling option is a factory modification and cannot be retrofitted to a standard HydroKleen after purchase; specify Part #9876 at time of original order
