UltraTech 9851 is a high-flow Ultra-Grate Guard sized for 28" x 28" flat catch basin grates, designed to capture sediment and debris while allowing overflow bypass through integrated overflows. It uses a woven high-flow fabric and hook-and-loop attachment, sliding over the grate so pollutants are retained at street level for easier cleanout.
- High-Flow Sediment Model with Overflows – Configured as a “Sediment Only” high-flow grate guard with overflow features, allowing stormwater to bypass through designated overflow areas during heavy rain while retaining sediment and debris.
- 28" x 28" x 4" Flat Grate Coverage – Sized to fit 28" x 28" (711 x 711 mm) flat grate catch basins, with a 4" (102 mm) profile to provide sediment storage volume at the inlet.
- High-Flow Woven Fabric Construction – Manufactured from high-flow woven geotextile (polypropylene) that allows runoff to pass through while blocking sediment and fines, in line with UltraTech’s high-flow grate guard fabric specifications.
- Hook-and-Loop Grate Attachment – Slides onto the storm drain grate and uses heavy-duty hook-and-loop fasteners to remain secured during operation, allowing the unit to be removed and reinstalled without tools.
- Street-Level Sediment Maintenance – Keeps captured sediment, silt, and debris at street level so they can be removed with a broom or flat shovel, reducing the need to lift or remove the grate during routine cleanouts.
