The UltraTech 9800 Drain Guard Archaea Boom Model is a dual-component stormwater filtration system that combines a catch basin insert with an Ultra-Archaea Boom for pollutant capture and hydrocarbon bioremediation. The Drain Guard captures sediment, dirt, oil, grease, and debris before they enter the drainage system, while the attached Archaea Boom releases oil-eating microbes into the catch basin to help break down hydrocarbons that bypass the filter. Designed for stormwater management programs, it provides treatment both above and below the drain for enhanced contaminant control.
- Dual-Component Filtration System – Combines an Ultra-Drain Guard catch basin insert with an Ultra-Archaea Boom to capture pollutants entering the drain and bioremediate hydrocarbons within the catch basin
- Hydrocarbon Bioremediation – Oil-eating microbes housed within the Archaea Boom activate when exposed to water and consume hydrocarbon contamination, leaving behind natural byproducts
- Pollutant Capture Above the Drain – Non-woven geotextile insert captures sediment, dirt, debris, oil, grease, and other contaminants before they enter the stormwater system
- Integrated 4-Foot Tether – The Archaea Boom is secured to a grommet in the bottom of the Drain Guard, allowing it to float within the catch basin while remaining attached during service
